To reinforce this already high level of wireless security, we typically deploy our Intrusion Prevention Sensors in behind the wireless network to monitor and block unauthorized or malicious traffic coming to and from the wireless network.
Aruba Networks and Network Strategies Partnership
Network Strategies recently partnered with Aruba Networks to resell their secure wireless system. Of all the wireless systems we have worked with over the years, the Aruba wireless system is by far one of the most secure right out of the box. They are one of the few in the industry that integrate a firewall and wireless intrusion prevention sensor directly into the wireless controllers eliminating the need for expensive external equipment. The integrated firewall, allows for much tighter controls of who has access to the wired network, something rarely seen these days. This helps substantially increase the security for those of you allowing guest wireless access or those of you that have devices that can only run wirelessly using lesser security standards such as WEP or WPA pass phrases. The integrated wireless intrusion prevention sensor has specific rules designed to detect and stop wireless type attacks such as de-authentication attacks, etc.
